From the very beginning, we made a conscious decision to challenge the conventional approach to radiology practice design. Rather than adopting the same systems and equipment used throughout much of the industry, we carefully evaluated every aspect of our service and selected the solutions we believed would best support our patients, referrers, and staff.

This philosophy extends to our technology platforms. We partnered with Sorsix to support the growth and development of the Pinga RIS platform, becoming the first radiology practice in Australia to fully adopt it. Rather than accepting the limitations of existing systems, we continue to work closely with Sorsix to develop new functionality and innovative features that improve communication, efficiency, and the overall experience for both patients and referring clinicians.

The same philosophy guided our equipment selection. It would have been simpler and less expensive to purchase all of our equipment from a single vendor through a bulk arrangement. Many practices do exactly that. However, we quickly realised that excellence in medical imaging is rarely found in a single manufacturer's catalogue. Different companies lead different fields, and no single vendor produces the best equipment for every clinical application.

For breast imaging, we chose Hologic because of its singular focus on breast health and its long-standing reputation for innovation in mammography.

For obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound, we selected GE's Voluson platform, widely regarded as the benchmark in women's imaging and trusted by leading fetal medicine units throughout the world.

For general, musculoskeletal, and vascular ultrasound, we chose Canon's Aplio i700 for its exceptional image quality, versatility, and diagnostic capability across a broad range of examinations.

Every decision at RMI reflects the same principle: quality should never be compromised for convenience. By selecting the best technology for each purpose and continuously refining the systems that support it, we have created a practice designed around excellence rather than efficiency alone.
